The engine of any company won't function without a strong finance team. John is a commercial CFO with 15+ years of deep experience across all commercial and operational aspects of finance so knows how to get a finance function running smoothly.
During John's time in FTSE listed CRH Plc, he was a senior finance leader in their European division and travelled to over 150+ operating locations throughout Europe. John is a multilingual CFO who speaks 6 langauges (4 fluently) and knows how to get the best out of global teams.
After CRH, John then went on to co-found his own start-up, CultureMee where he actively built and executed his own B2B sales funnel with large global corporates in Europe, the US, and South America. His 2nd startup, Work From Anywhere, has won multiple awards and already has a global partnership with Mercer, one of the largest HR consultancies in the world. This gave him an invaluable perspective on B2B sales.
For better or worse, the vast majority of John's corporate career was in companies facing a crisis. During John's time in CRH, he played an active part in turning around many companies navigating their way through the crisis. With Work From Anywhere, this is a very different proposition where he has been growing a business from the ground up which has been a very exciting challenge to take on.
During John's time in CultureMee, his first start-up, he attended a number of global start-up accelerators and won a number of global awards, including the "Best Travel Technology Product" at the Global Youth Travel Awards in 2018. His second startup, Work From Anywhere, was "highly commended" at the ReThink Global awards in 2023.
